Our Clients:

Our business started out in 2016 thriving with mostly real estate agents, then transitioned into Clark County Planning Department jobs.  

Most recently, it's been homeowners requesting roof inspections, property inspections, special events (mostly businesses who wish to have drone coverage for their annual meetings) & large industrial "events" (such as launching a large vessel on the Columbia).  We do not post film or photos of every project - due to confidential or proprietary restrictions of some of our clients at their request.  So, you will not see every job on our social media feeds.

Our Service Area:

We generally do not bid for jobs in Portland due to the frequency of people asking us to operate within the restricted areas (zero areas) of the Portland International Airport.  Also, we get a lot of requests that are outside our business areas - such as: Castle Rock, Hood River, White Salmon, Trout Lake, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Clackamas and Salem.  Due to the time involved for travel, it increases the cost of our bids beyond what a more local drone operator could offer.  In those cases, we refer out those requests.

Reason for the Sale of NWDrones.net:

The business owner is retiring & has other businesses that require more constant attention than the drone business - which requires travel on site.  This situation causes many instances where we must decline about 50% of our requests.  The only other option would be to hire employees.  That is not our desire.  The owner's sons were to take over the business - but have chosen different career paths.  In light of these circumstances, we have determined that the NWDrones.net presence in the local area would be better served by an existing drone operator, or one who is just starting out new - who has the time and effort to fulfill the requests of the local area clients.  The leads are present - but the other interests do not allow us to service them.

Financials & Performance:

While 7 years established, we have not grown the business itself locally.  For the reasons stated above, the financials of the business itself is not the value of the sale.  Financials will not be provided - as this is a private business, and the income history doesn't line up with the potential of the online presence.  Do not ask. The value is within the online presence - including the premium domain name, website content (which is already integrated with Google Analytics & Ads), and most importantly the established social media presence of the list below:

Who is the Perfect Buyer?

The party who is interested will be one who is already a licensed drone operator & has equipment.  That could be someone just starting out who wants a turn-key presence to put their active effort into growing rapidly using NWDrones.net already established online infrastructure.  Having everything in place exponentially will increase the marketing efforts vs. trying to build everything from scratch for 7 years - as we have already done.  Alternatively, this presence may fit into an already established drone business looking to rapidly expand their business & territory.  Acquisition is a smart way to double your business rapidly.

What is Included in the Sale?

1. The domain name, website content (currently hosted by Godaddy), all logos online.

2. Any social media presence that has the capability of being transferred will be included.  If for some reason, any of them are not - then they are not included.  However, we are willing to administer them in a way that will lead to any new presence you must establish for the period of 6 months to help with the transition.

3. 6 months of limited assistance with transitioning the web presence.

What is Not Included?

1. No physical equipment.  No drones, business office equipment, business cards, or any physical product or supplies.

2. No drone training.  The buyer must be FAA licensed and have their own equipment - or in the process of doing so.

Asking Price:

We realize that there are a lot of factors built into valuing domain names, websites, and businesses in general.  Naturally, the perception is going to be that the current owner will place a higher value, while the buyer will place a lower value.  The value and price of this sale will require a buyer who recognizes the benefits to them in their current situation and has a budget that fits their needs to acquire these benefits.  In summary, the sale will be unlikely if a "buyer doesn't fit with the sale".  Therefore, negotiation is required.  

Contracts:

There will be a written agreement drawn up.  The sale will be done face to face locally in Vancouver, Washington.  The agreement will be notarized and signed by both parties.  Payment will be done at one bank with either cash or a cashier's check in the presence of buyer and seller.  This will be a personable experience with no surprises & transparency.
